An Account Manager is responsible both for the development of business from existing accounts and new corporate customers for Scott Logistics Corp. Account Managers must be proven business developers, with a particular flair for winning and nurturing key accounts. They must have excellent presentation skills, impressive written and verbal communication, and the ability to achieve demanding sales performance. Account Managers also oversee a team of Logistics Coordinators.

The skills required for this position are:
  • Intermediate computer and internet skills
  • Self-motivational personality with exceptional attendance and punctuality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with customers, shippers, consignees, dispatchers, truck drivers, and co-workers
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques

  • Teamwork, tact, positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent geographic knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of the transportation industry

  • Ability to work with extremely detailed information
  • Excellent numeric skills
